Objective:

Objective:

I was engaged as Animation Lead within a small team to define motion principles for a newly established brand system for a global property company.

The goal was to explore animation approaches and develop a motion guide that enabled consistent application of the brand across all content.

The Challenge:

The Challenge:

This was not just a technical challenge, but a cultural one.

Each artwork carried its own meaning, style, and story. The animation needed to respect that, while still creating something engaging and easy to follow.

Across projects, the styles varied significantly, so there was no single approach. Each piece needed to be understood and built from the ground up.

Insight:

Insight:

The artwork itself needed to lead the motion.

Rather than applying a style, the role of animation was to support what was already there.

Every movement needed to feel natural to the artwork, as if it had always been designed to move that way.

The Approach:

The Approach:

Each project began with exploration.

I tested different ways to break apart and rebuild the artwork, preparing it for animation while preserving its original feel.

From there, I developed a custom approach for each piece, based on its style and story.

For the national campaign, this resulted in five distinct animations from five completely different artworks, each requiring its own technique and way of thinking.

I directed all five, and personally animated three, working closely with the creative director to shape how each story was brought to life.

Outcome:

Outcome:

  • A series of animations that stayed true to the original artworks while making the stories more engaging and accessible

  • Strong collaboration with artists and stakeholders built on trust and respect

  • Work that led to ongoing opportunities across NITV and related projects

  • Positive feedback from clients, artists, and participants
